EANC is proud to be a United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley partner agency.
NEWS AT EANC

May 8, 2015 – EANC received a $2,000 HELP grant from the Northampton County Medical Society Association. The grant will support the ASPIRE program and is earmarked for supplies, educational expenses and scholarships. This year four scholarships were given to ASPIRE graduates and one additional one will be given at the graduation celebration at Easton High school on May 13th. NCMSA member Virginia Oskin remarked at the Spring Luncheon that the ASPIRE program was chosen partly because of the inclusion of the teen fathers in the program.

July 4th and 5th will be the dates for the FIRST Annual South Side Neighborhood Basketball Tournament sponsored by the EANC and KKOR (Keep Kids Off the Streets). This first tournament is dedicated to the memory of Fred Fredrick, a man who encouraged the youth of the South Side to engage in sportsmanship as a means of keeping safe and learning leadership skills. For more information please contact Larry Pound (484.542.3703) or “Doc” Holiday (610.762.0895). To sponsor a team or other activity or to reserve vendor space, please contact Sharmaine Granison (610.217.0767) or Sharon England (610.905.3361).

Tai Chi is now available at the EANC on either Monday evening (6 PM) or Saturday morning (8:30AM). This class is an ongoing class and you can join at any time. The cost is $8 per session with payment being taken at each session. If you don’t come, you don’t pay. Jim Matthewson is the instructor and has been teaching the Yang long form for 15 years and is now available to teach sword form as well. The current classes are open hand long form. The form is taught in three parts, each one building on the moves taught in the previous part. Sessions are one hour long. No prior registration is required.
