About Us

Founded in 1967, The Neighborhood Center works alongside Easton residents to address the challenges that come with limited resources -- food insecurity, housing instability, and barriers to essential services.

We are often the first place people turn when something isn’t working. Our role is to respond quickly, connect people to the right resources, and help them move forward with greater stability.

Our approach is hands-on and coordinated. A visit to the food pantry may lead to help with housing, utility assistance, or ongoing case management. Work on the urban farm connects to fresh food distribution, youth internships, and community engagement. Across every program, staff stay closely connected to both the people we serve and the broader network of resources, ensuring that support is responsive, practical, and grounded in real needs.

At the same time, we invest in longer-term solutions that strengthen the community as a whole. Through the Easton Urban Farm, Senior Hub, and RoofOver transitional housing, we create opportunities for people to access food, stabilize their lives, and build connections that extend beyond any single service. We also bring people together through community events, seasonal festivals, and neighborhood gatherings that create space for connection, celebration, and shared ownership of the community.

The Neighborhood Center operates as both a service provider and a community anchor—meeting immediate needs while building a more stable and connected Easton.

Leadership

The Neighborhood Center is guided by a Board of Directors who provide oversight, strategic direction, and long-term stewardship of the organization.

Board members bring a range of experience and a shared commitment to the Easton community, helping to ensure that our work remains responsive, accountable, and grounded in local needs.

We are also grateful for the leadership of those who have shaped this work over time, including Marvin Boyer, whose dedication to the community continues to influence our efforts.
